Reurbanisation is RareData’s long-term commitment to breathe new life into Asia’s pre-heritage and heritage buildings by transforming them into vibrant, self-sustaining campuses for AI-driven creativity, digital art, and new forms of cultural and economic value.
We are actively seeking entire shophouse rows, warehouses, old ports, temples, clan halls and historic compounds — either through direct acquisition or deep co-building partnerships — to create the physical homes of tomorrow’s creative economy.
Across Southeast Asia and beyond, thousands of extraordinary buildings stand underused or at risk. Many are family-owned for generations, rich with stories, yet facing uncertain futures in rapidly changing cities.
We see immense untapped potential in these structures: not just architectural beauty, but the opportunity to become living platforms where tradition meets cutting-edge technology — where AI artists, digital creators and Web3 builders live, work and exhibit side-by-side with local communities.
Our campuses will feature rooftop-connected creative networks, solar-powered render farms, public galleries, token-gated event spaces and fractionalised real-estate ownership — all while preserving and celebrating the original character of each site.
We combine the best lessons from Singapore’s shophouse renaissance, Hong Kong’s Tai Kwun and PMQ transformations, and Shanghai’s warehouse districts, but with full creative and operational freedom through majority ownership or long-term co-ownership.
Every project is designed from day one to be:

Selected creators and studios rent beautifully restored live-work spaces at preferential rates inside the campus. Residents enjoy:
Being part of a RareData campus is widely regarded as one of the most desirable creative addresses in Asia.
Our first six cities, with opening campuses already in planning:
The first rooftop-connected super-blocks will launch in Kuala Lumpur and George Town in 2026.
If you own or represent a heritage building, shophouse row, warehouse or historic site — especially in Kuala Lumpur Petaling Street or Pudu — we are very keen to explore acquisition or co-building possibilities together.
We approach every conversation with respect, transparency and genuine long-term vision. Many families and owners have entrusted us with their legacy because they see how seriously we honour both the past and the future.
